A Prayer of Thanksgiving

“With my mouth I will give thanks abundantly to the LORD; And in the midst of many I will praise Him.” ~ Psalm 30:109

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you to offer thanksgiving for…

A husband…who loves me and extends me immeasurable grace.

A daughter…who teaches me about love and grace and who evokes the biggest smile on my face and heart.

Babies…whom I will spend eternity with.

Hope and peace…which grow in me more every day.

Dog hair and the furry kids from which they fall…for they help make this house a home and teach of unconditional love and devotion every day.

A mom…who is a cheerleader, a helper, a confidant and a kindred spirit.

Girlfriends…who are as reliable when I’m crying as when I’m laughing.

The Internet…for it connects me to the most amazing people who inspire and encourage me daily! 

Laundry piles…that are evidence of the blessing of a full wardrobe.

Grocery shopping…and the blessing of being able to fill our kitchen with nutritious food.

Passion…and for being built to love the work I’m called to.

Redemption…and the promise of grace which I so desperately need.

Laughter…especially the belly laughs that so often fill our home.

Tears…for they are oh so life affirming.

For so many other blessings that fill this awesome life.

And for you, awesome, mighty, holy God…and for your unending pursuit of my heart.
