We had a community garage sale last weekend, and this nesting mama was happy to clear away some of the excess that has accumulated around my house. It was nice to visit with my neighbors and interact with some shoppers, too.

Three different patrons, at three different times, seemed to really enjoy giving me their predictions on when my baby boy will be born. I got a real kick out of hearing the rationale behind their predictions, too. (I didn’t even mind when one of them told me she thought there was no way I would go more than 10 – 11 days longer, because I was HUGE!)

In fact, it seems everyone I encounter (friends, family and strangers) enjoys this “guess the birth day” game. Since I find it fun too, I thought I’d invite all of you to play along! (Just a fair warning here – not all pregnant women enjoy this game, so exercise a little caution with the pregnant ladies in your life!)

And, if we’re going to play a game, we need some prizes, right?! So, I’m going to give away a three-class virtual yoga series to the THREE people with the closest guesses.

Here are the details that people often want to know before guessing:

  • – My Official Due Date is 7.31
  • – My daughter came very early at 36.5 weeks, weighing in at 8 lbs, 10 oz
  • – At 33 weeks, baby boy was measuring 36 week on an ultrasound
  • – My midwife told me last week the longest she would let me go was 41 weeks (8.7), but she would be shocked if I went that long.
  • – This belly picture was taken at 31 weeks and 3 days.

Here’s how to play:

  • – Comment below with your guess for my baby’s birth date and time (all times will be assumed to be Eastern Time).
  • – Bonus question for fun: Share the method to your madness – why did you pick the date and time you did.
  • – Giveaway closes when the little man arrives or 7.31.12 (whichever is earlier).
  • – Number of winners: 3 (with the closest guesses to the actual date and time of my son’s birth).
  • – Giveaway open to U.S. AND International residents (because you can take my virtual yoga classes from anywhere in the world!).
  • – Winners will be notified within a few weeks of little man’s arrival.

Thanks for keeping me entertained as I come down the home stretch!

    JULY 9 @ 9:48 pm. Why that date & time……because it’s my birthdate & time LOL

Let’s say….. July 15th at 12:45 in the afternoon. Why? Randomness rules!

Aloha everyone, I have a feeling he will arrive at 10pm on Wednesday July 18th. There will be a new moon that night.

Otherwise, it will be August 1st when there is a full moon and the gravitational force will draw him out. Is this double dipping…ok July 18th is my guess. Annie

July, 31st @ 6:04am. My father’s birthday. Healthy baby born VBACK! (Sonograms are subject to interpretation, and you look perfect! Beautiful pic with AE.) Alternate date that doesn’t count? August 10th. Why? Because you mentioned a strong desire for the Vag delivery and onset of labor sans drugs. (I don’t recommend this at all, but I went 43 weeks, the last week ducking calls from the doctor because I didn’t want an induction. Fought for a VBAC too. Truly don’t recommend this approach. JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU AREN’T THE ONLY STUBBORN SOUL OUT THERE!)
