Change is Possible
Editorial Note: I’m starting something new in this space. At the beginning of each week, I will post a short, simple “Weekly Practice Intention.” It is my hope that these will inspire and encourage your home practice of yoga.
We crave change. We long for improvement, growth and restoration. Yet, we fear that it is not possible. We’ve tried and failed in the past. There are obstacles to overcome and problems for which we can’t see solutions. So, we settle, resign and give up. We forget that change is possible.
This week, allow the beauty of the fall foliage to whisper truth to your weary soul. Change is possible. Hope is not lost.
On your mat this week, linger between the two sides of every pose. Do the right side of your body, then pause. Notice the difference in muscle tension between the right and left side of the body. Observe the change that transpires with each pose.
May your mat always be a place where you stomp out lies and uncover truth. This week, let the truth that change is possible ring through every fiber of your being.
