Six Weeks of Intentional Self-Care
As a yoga teacher, I have had the pleasure of working with people on their health and well-being for over a decade. One of the things I love the most about this work is something I call “The Snowball Effect of Wellness.” One small step can have a kind of gravity, allowing it to easily attract other positive changes. Before long, we find ourselves living healthier, happier lives.
There is a bit of a finesse required for choosing those initial steps. You can’t build a snowball out of just any snow, and you can’t improve your life with just type of change. We have all had good intentions fail us. There isn’t a person alive who hasn’t experienced the sting of lost resolve.
Lately, I have encountered so many women (and some men, too!) who know they have mistaken unintentional numbing out for intentional self-care. But, they don’t know how to begin to change. Old habits die hard, and it’s so tempting to turn to a screen or a pantry when life gets overwhelming.
I am here to help! Today, I am launching a free course designed to get your self-care snowball rolling. The course includes six of my favorite self-care intentions, as well as practical tips for how to live them out – both on and off the yoga mat.
Here’s how the course works:
Within an hour of signing up below (or here), you will receive the first of six, short but sweet, course emails. You’ll get one new email each week of the course. So easy!
I do have two tips for making the most out of this course:
TIP 1: If you are a gmail user, be sure to move all email from me (jennifer@stayathomeyoga.com) into the Priority tab. Otherwise, you may miss the free self-care tips that are coming your way!
Tip 2: Email a link to this post to a few of your friends. Tell them you are beginning a journey of intentional self-care, and that you’d love for them to join you. That way you’ll have a great support system in place.
I’d love to hear, what are examples of things that fall into the category of “self-care” for you?
Exercise and time “management”… I have been working on both for quite some time; still a work in progress. 🙂 Thanks for the offer of this course. I look forward to participating.
Oh yes, time management. Easier said than done, right Amy?! You’re more than welcome. Can’t wait to hear how the course goes for you!
trying to work exercise around my arthritis and fibromyalgia….it seems like one or the other is constantly putting a damper on my (already small to begin with) enthusiasm for exercise. Hoping this course may help in some way.
I’m so sorry you are dealing with the pain of both of those conditions, Sherri. I do hope this course will be helpful! I’m going to talk specifically about yoga for arthritis and fibromyalgia on a free call tonight. I’ll email you the details. 🙂
